New Zealand and Tauranga wedding photographer. Mum. Wife. Adventurer.
Hi, I’m Amy, the girl behind the lens of Amy Bailey Photography. I’m originally from South Africa but now reside in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. I’m a wedding and portrait photographer and love capturing life’s precious little moments. My main gig is as a mum to my adorable 3-year-old son, and wife to Phil.
I started Amy Bailey Photography in 2016, after five years of living in Singapore. I really wanted to do something with my passion for photography, and taking engagement photos for some friends made me realise what I wanted to do. This turned into actual work, and I keep having to pinch myself that I am able to do what I love, and have so much fun doing it!
I have met so many amazing people on my journey so far, and made many great friends. I love seeing the connections between people and aim to show that in my work.
When I get behind the lens of my camera the morning of a wedding I love feeling that excitement with you. For the hours I’m celebrating alongside you and your family/friends, my aim is to create stunning images in a carefree, fun manner.
I believe in Love, and the celebration of marriage -a magical wedding day that resonates an even more beautiful commitment to eachother. And that is the passion behind my images.
I feel that by photographing people and capturing their moments together that I am able to give people something meaningful, that they will treasure forever. I am grateful that people invite me to be a part of their lives in this way!
I like dark clouds (but not the rain!) floral designs, textured paper, the smell of smoke from a fire, and chai latte’s (my guilty pleasure) oh and I prefer not to eat peas and I’m scared of moths! I love spending time with my family and friends. When I’m not behind my camera I enjoy a good book, glass of wine and having a good chat with my mum or a friend.
Please feel free to check out my galleries/features and if you feel we will be a good match or have any questions or just want to say “Hi” send me a message HERE
I look forward to hearing from you – Thanks for stopping by!
